![]() We live in a time when the Spirit of God is releasing revelation in a way like never before. Mysteries being revealed. Keys to the Kingdom being handed out. All of these come out of relationship or "YADA" with the Father. "YADA" means to know or to experience God intimately. Prayer is the intimate part of our relationship with Him. Being intimate with someone means belonging to ones deepest nature. It is a very private and personal thing. Matt. 6:6 states, "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. The rewards of a prayer relationship include character, healing and fruit. Just as intimacy in a marriage bears fruit, prayer is essential to bear spiritual fruit. The more we pray, the more we know Him. The more we know Him, the more we can connect to Him, knowing His heart, His thoughts and His desires. As we come to know these, the heart of intercession is born inside of us. His heart, thoughts and desires become ours. Intercession is the fruit of being with Him. It is His heart. Hebrews 7:25 states: Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttmost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. We are all called to pray. It is not for selected ones. We are to be "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit". (Ephesians 6:18) Our vision for intercession is for the body as a whole. It is the legal department of the Kingdom. Proclaiming before the Lord that which rightfully belongs to us. Intercession is not a place for begging. We come into it knowing our place in Him and our legal rights as His children. By Sister Lesley Lopez |
